Long-Distance Transport by Rail
The central long-distance railway station within the area covered by VVS is Stuttgart’s main railway station, but long-distance journeys by rail can also be begun in Plochingen or Vaihingen/Enz. There are direct and frequent connections to many cities in Germany from Stuttgart main station. During the day there are direct connections to destinations in other countries, such as France, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia and Croatia. Note: The VVS fare does not cover the following offers. Separate tickets need to be purchased.
